First things first, the most obvious but also the most important: get your tickets in advance, through the festival’s official channels. Organise your group in good time and decide together whether you’re going to camp, which days you’ll go and how you’ll get to the venue.
Decide in advance how you’re going to get to the venue: many festivals, like Zevra, have an official bus service that makes logistics much easier. You can also travel by train, as Cullera has a station. What’s more, at Zevra you can validate your wristband the day before the festival starts — do it and you’ll avoid the queues! If you’re camping, arrive in good time to set up your spot comfortably, and make a note of landmarks around your camp so you don’t get lost on the way back.
Every festival has a minimum entry age (in Zevra’s case, 16 with parental authorisation) and entry rules that are worth checking before you go: permitted items, the camping area rules, and information and assistance points inside the venue.
Rest when you need to, stay well hydrated, look after your group and always stay reachable. A first festival is much more enjoyable if you arrive rested and with everything organised, without leaving the important details until the last minute.
If your first festival is going to be in the Valencia region, Zevra Festival is one of the best ways to start: urban music, the beach and an atmosphere designed for having a great time with your group.
