For many people, July is when summer really begins: exams are over, the holidays start and it’s time to decide what to do with those first days of freedom. If you’re in the Valencia region —or thinking of travelling here— you’ve got more than enough to plan an unforgettable summer.
An unforgettable line-up, different music genres and stages, and more than 45,000 people dancing to the beat of Spanish and international artists. That’s ZEVRA festival. Are you going to miss it?
Just an hour from Valencia city, Cullera is one of the favourite destinations for groups of friends in July: wide beaches, a great atmosphere and, for a few very specific days of the month, one of the most eagerly awaited plans of the summer: Zevra Festival.
If you’ve just finished the EBAU (Spain’s university entrance exams), July is your month. After months of studying, a plan with the beach, friends and music is the perfect way to close one chapter and kick off the summer in style. There’s no need to wait for August: July in Valencia has everything you need to really switch off.
Of all the plans for July, one stands out in particular: Zevra Festival, the urban music and reggaeton festival held on Cullera beach. With today’s most-streamed artists and an atmosphere designed for enjoying with your group of friends, it’s one of those plans people organise months in advance.
As well as the festival, July in Valencia has plenty more to offer: beach routes along the coast, terraces and nightlife in the city, day trips to nearby towns, or simply making the most of the good weather with your group of friends without a fixed plan.
If you’re coming from outside the Valencia region, we recommend booking accommodation well in advance, especially if your trip coincides with the Zevra Festival dates, when demand in Cullera rises considerably. Organising your transport in good time —whether by car, by bus or a combination of both— will also save you more than one headache.
